1. Enrolling in a gym that is not MOE-approved
Many Muay Thai gyms are not accredited. Only MOE-approved schools can support an ED visa.
2. Not attending training
Immigration checks attendance at gyms and schools. Absences lead to visa cancellation.

Can any Muay Thai gym sponsor an ED visa?
No. Only gyms and schools approved by the Ministry of Education can support ED visa applications. Many popular gyms are not accredited.
How long can I train on an ED visa?
Up to about 12–15 months in 90-day cycles, depending on the programme and Immigration approval.
Is this the same as the DTV soft-power route?
No. The DTV soft-power route is a 5-year multiple-entry visa filed from abroad. The ED visa is a study visa with attendance requirements, filed with MOE approval.
